Carol Velarde, CA Legislative Liaison for Americans United, will speak at the AOF meeting Sunday, October 12 at noon, at Sierra 2 in Sacramento. Her topic is Charitable Choice, alias Faith-Based Initiatives, or: How our government is turning social services over to religious institutions. Carol has lobbied the CA legislature on a host of bills and regulations concerning charitable choice. If you are interested in this issue, be sure to attend the meeting. Everyone is welcome.
