Walt Pontynen, a leader of the Sacramento Chapter of Americans United for Separation of Church and State, serves on the AU National Advisory Council. Walt, a historian, and Karen Scott, a lawyer, have done extensive research on the history of the First Amendment and have made numerous presentations on the subject to educational groups, churches and lawyers. They are also producers of the video "Roger Williams: Freedom's Forgotten Hero."
